Riley went to Central Ave School in Madison today to do his part of a lesson all about pets. We visited two different 1st grade classes. All Riley was required to do was sit and listen to me talk about him, and then let each child come and pet him. I had him all cleaned up, smelling good ( remember we still have Mr. Peebody here) and even gave him a doggy breath mint so his breath would be nice and fresh. Riley did great and the kids loved him. We spent about 45 minutes total in the classes. We got in the car to go home and he immediately curled up in his car seat and fell asleep. When we got home, he jumped up on the couch and passed out. The picture was taken about an hour after we had returned home.
We are going back tomorrow to visit 2 more classes. Riley will need to go to bed early tonight in order to be able to stay awake for his visit. It was a lot of fun though and the kids were great.
