Riley did very well today. He was a little more active which is good and bad. We don't want him too active too early. I spoke with the physical therapist today and I am going to take Riley there tomorrow for an initial evaluation. She wants to give me some exercises I can do with him at home until after the stitches are removed on the 19th. Then soon after we will start therapy there, possibly including the underwater treadmill. She warned me that after I remove the morphine ( fetanyl )patch on the 10th that Rileycould be in more pain and to watch for that. She advised to give him the pain meds as prescribed every 8 hours. I am hoping this won;t be the case but I am glad that she warned me. It sounds like we will be able to work well together to get Riley healthy once again.
