Riley had a very good night last night. I put the e-collar on and put him in the crate on his new bed @10:30 pm. It took a while for him to get comfortable but he slept on and off all night until I got up at 7:00am. I got him out of the crate and took the collar off. It took him a few minutes to get his wits about him. Of course it is pouring rain out and I knew he would need to go out. I put his raincoat on him, carried him outside and put him down holding the umbrella over him. It took him a few minutes but he did go. I tried giving him a little food which he turned his nose up at. I knew he had to eat as he is taking several medications that have to be taken with food. I put a few pieces of leftover steak in his bowl and the whole bowl was gone in less than a few minutes. Riley is now resting comfortably next to me on the couch. He doesn't seem to be in any pain right now. I am going to ice his leg shortley ( which he really doesn't like) and just hang out here for a while. Riley seems to be very happy to be home and is doing very well.
