Riley had a very restless night. He was up and down all night long. I closed my bedroom door to restrict his wandering around. Recently he has been getting up in the middle of the night, goes downstairs and then cries to come back up because he can't get up the stairs. Last night I ordered him an orthopedic dog bed which should get here by Tuesday when I expect him to be able to come home. Just like humans, dogs are subject to sores from constant pressure or rubbing on their joints. Since I assume he will be sleeping a lot those first few days, I wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. I bought one that would also fit snugly into his crate as he will probably be spending a lot of time in there.
